Pie Postulatio Voluntatis

Pie Postulatio VoluntatisOn 15th February 1113, Pope Pascal II – with the Bull Pie Postulatio Voluntatis – placed the monastic community of the Hospitallers of St. John of Jerusalem under the patronage of the Church, with the right to freely elect its heads, without interference from other lay or religious authorities.

It is thanks to this Bull – which represents the foundation of its independence and sovereignty – that for 900 years the Sovereign Order of Malta has been able to accomplish its humanitarian mission worldwide.

Emanuela di Luca dhas donated a portrait from her painting to the Archbishop of Belgrade, H.E. Mons. Stanislav HocevarMonths ago, the Archbishop of Belgrade, H.E. Mons. Stanislav Hocevar, had learned that Ms. Emanuela di Luca, wife of the Ambassador of the Order of Malta at Serbia, Alberto di Luca – alongside her professional activity – for many years she painted with the stage name of Manou and which has already made in Italy and in Europe some of her solo exhibitions. Mons. Hocevar asked her to paint His portrait for the Archdiocese and Manou has thus achieved an artwork that has been in recent days given to the Archbishop. Mons. Hocevar, in welcoming the welcome gift, has strongly appreciated the qualities of an artist who knew how to combine, with particularly original tract, fantasy and realism.

Deals with the new government about the negotiations on the humanitarian and health agreement

Belgrade, September 18, 2012

The new Minister of Health, Professor Slavica Dukic Dejanovic, cordially greeted the Ambassador Alberto di Luca and  thoroughly discussed with him all  the details for a possible signing of an agreement between Serbia and SMOM in terms of umanitarian aid and health care.
Present at the meeting Hon. Nenad Prokic, former President of Parlamentary Group of friendship between Serbia and SMOM, and convinced supporter  of the usefulness of this agreement. Common judgement at the end of the meeting of the Minister Dejanovic and the Ambassador Di Luca is that it is possible to arrive at the signing of this important and necessary agreement in order to intensify  cooperation and assistance by the  Sovereign Military Order of Malta to those in need in Serbia.
