Humanitarian aid by the Order of Malta for the refugees in Serbia

Vranje, February

The cold weather of the Balkans has not stopped the flow of migrants, coming from Greece and Macedonia, trying to get to the countries of Central and Northern Europe, transiting through Serbia.
The attention and the sensitivity of the Sovereign Order of Malta to the dramatic humanitarian emergency problems led to the shipment of humanitarian aid for the refugees in Presevo, by Malteser Hilfsdienst and the Embassy of the Order in Belgrade.
27 pallets of clothing and toys, and 10 pallets of baby food arrived from Germany in the value of approximately 30,000 Euros, all donated by Malteser Hilfsdienst to Life Aid Association of Vranje.
The pallets were passed through the warehouse of Life Aid – where are done all the necessary inspections and documentation checks – in order to distribute the clothes, toys and food to the refugees in the upcoming days.
